This is an honest, poignant account of one woman's 18 year nightmare through Russia's prisons and labor camps (gulags) during Stalin's reign of terror. An historically important book as an authentic record of those times. A very moving and powerful autobiography! This book was used in a graduate level Russian history class. Book is in good condition, about a half dozen pages or so have light pencil underlining, one page in pen, otherwise, pages all clean and unmarked, no tears or rips. Some cover wear, small tear on upper spine, see scans for condition.
Book measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 inches, 418 pages.
