Window of Dreams by Zolan on YourTurn on Blujay

|
"Window of Dreams" by Zolan is his first bone-china miniature plate. I purchased this in 1992 from Pemberton & Oakes, Santa Barbara, CA. You will recieve the plate, stand, original box, Zolan's own story about this miniature plate, here is his story:
"I've known for some time I wanted to do a painting of a child on a panel even though I usually paint on Belgian linen. I wanted a challenge of working on a panel. The Old masters often painted on panels, and I thought about the luminous skin tones Rembrandt and Reubens created.
The idea of a child at a window where I could paint her twice came to me-I could apint her once looking outside, then again in her reflection. So in "Window of Dreams" I show the little girl once in profile, once full face. I certainly found my challenge for my first panel painting of a child."
If you want the rest of the story in details as to how he accomplished this, you will have to buy the plate to finish reading his story.
A certificate certifing number is an authentic registered plate in the only edition of this special issue.
