question: I've seen this type of service advertised for $40 or even $50 - how are you able to do it for just $20?
answer: Those other services are charging you for time consuming editing, filtering, and wav file clean-up. I simply perform an audio capture of your media, convert the file to CD and track it for use in any CD player!
question: So does that mean you do not edit and filter out noise?
answer: While it's dependent on your original source to be free of excessive noise, I DO run the audio through filters that will minimize tape hiss, vinyl pops and overall surface noise. However, so as to not reduce the clarity of your CD, the original source in essence will be duplicated in quality. Your record is also given a thorough cleaning using my best selling record cleaning kit (see my other listing!)
question: I have three records or cassettes that will still fit on one CD, do you charge extra for that?
answer: Short answer, no. However, shipping more than one record back to you can be costly (cassettes dont cost much to ship) so you will be asked to pay $1 for each additional record to cover shipping... but if all the records fit on one 80 minute CD, then you will not be charged more for the transfer service (see the next Q&A)
question: I don't want just one whole record on CD, I want a few songs from several different LPs or Cassettes but all on one CD - is that extra?
answer: No extra charge as long as all the tracks fit on one CD. You're reminded however about the dollar per record extra to cover shipping.
question: So I have to send you my original record in the mail?
answer: Well, yes - I will need it to perform the service. However, many of my customers find it easier and feel more comfortable recording their album to cassette and sending me that copy. See the next question & answer for more about this...
question: I don't know you from Adam, how do I know I am sending my valuable record to a trusted person?
answer: Excellent question! For you to feel most comfortable, I would suggest recording your record to cassette and sending that to me instead of your record - but if you'd prefer to have the highest quality capture possible, then you will need to ship your record to me. When you make your purchase, and after I've recieved payment, you will be provided with my location and phone number for our lines of communication to be wide open. AslanStore is my userID everywhere on the net - search for yourself and you will find an impeccable reputation with 100% positive feedback and outstanding customer service track record. See the next question and answer...
question: How should I send my record or cassette to you?
answer: I would suggest sending your record in rigid packaging to ensure it does not get bent in transit. Also insure the package for the maximum value that you feel it is worth. Please do not ship cassettes in a standard envelope as these packages do go through rollers at the various facilities it travels through on it's way to me.
question: How much do you charge to ship the completed work back to me?
answer: Nothing! It's included in the price!
question: How long will it take before I get my record/cassette and new CD?
answer: The average project (one record or cassette on one CD) can be completed and shipped within days of recieving the original media from you. I ship promptly and have the package out to you usually before the end of a week.
question: I have more questions!!!
answer: ...and I am at your service! Please use the appropriate contact seller link on this listing for any other questions you may have - I answer promptly!
