Lovely old translucent milk-glass platter with yellow fired-on color on the front, and 3 raised bands around the rim. This vintage gem was produced sometime during the 1940s-early 1950s by Hazel Atlas. Today, it is relatively hard to find pieces with the fired-on color intact. Dimensions: Approx. 12 inches long and 9.5 inches wide. Condition: Excellent, with no cracks or crazing. Two minor 1/8-inch rim chips along the back rim, cannot be seen from the front. One 1/4-inch scratch in the color, very difficult to see (and impossible for me to photograph). A few minor glaze bumps and rough rims original to the piece. The darkness visible in the center of the plate is actually the black plate stand behind this translucent piece.
