Witch Cat Familiar Nightshade Linoleum Block Limited Edition Print Original Artwork

This is an original limited edition linoleum block print by me (DS Irvin) titled "Nightshade." It is the first in a series I am doing of witch's familiar cats. Nightshade is seated under the starry sky by his namesake flower, Nightshade, also known amongst its other names as Belladonna and Devil's Cherries. The background of this print was individually hand-painted with acrylic paint and ink and it's printed on quality acid free watercolor paper. The cat himself has been treated with glitter paint and has an iridescent quality not visible in the scan. The gold frame around the name and some of the stars in the print is painted with metallic gold acrylic which shines in the light! Turn out the lights and the name and some of the background stars will GLOW IN THE DARK making a soft eerie presence after nightfall. The print itself measures 5" wide by 7" tall, the paper it's printed on measures 7" wide by 9" tall to the edges. I have selected the best prints out of the run to offer for sale, this one is number 24 of 46 and only a limited number of those have hand-painted backgrounds. The piece is hand titled, dated - June 2009, and signed on the bottom. All reproduction rights to the prints remain with the artist. If you have any questions please email me.
