Vintage Clear Glass Desk Plaque in Original Box
This "'Feelings' in Glass" painted clear glass
plaque was made in 1977 by Russ Berrie & Co, Inc., bought in a gift
shop, and kept lovingly intact in the cardboard frame box for over 25 years.
It is decorated with red & yellow butterflies and flowers, green leafy
vines, and a quotation painted in green by Oliver Wendell Holmes: "Love
is the Master Key That opens the Gates Of Happiness."
One flap on the box is torn about 1", and
there are two small pressure tears near the frame opening. Plaque itself
is perfect; the is one tiny 1/8" line on the larger butterfly where the
red paint has been scratched off, a flaw so small that it may have been
there when purchased new.
Sentimental and nostalgic, it would make a
lovely addition to a vintage greeting card, glass, or tabletop ornament
collection, or simply as a gift. |
