Offered today from my collection of vintage Japanese comics is a rare copy of Dr. Slump Vol. 9 from 1990, 29th reprint dated 12/15/90. The first edition was dated Dec. 30th, 1982. Written & illustrated by Akira Toriyama, the same artist that produced the Dragonball comic. A very popular comic in Japan from the early 1980`s that was made into a TV cartoon series! You can tell how popular it still is by the number of reprints made! It tells the story of an inventor, Dr. Slump, that makes a young girl robot & the funny and very cute adventures she has! He also invents other interesting creatures who play a part in the series! This comic is in Japanese & would be a great way to study the language while enjoying the fantastic art work inside. Japanese Manga artists are some of the best & they are highly sought out by collectors! There are 189 pages in this comic. It is used but in good condition, with no missing pages, just a slight tear in the bottom corner of back cover and the last few pages are slightly dogearred. There is some slight sun bleaching around outer edges, which is to be expected for a 15 year old comic. Also, since it is missing the cover I am discounting it accordingly. Offered today for the very reasonable price of just $5.00, and shipping to the USA by regular air/not insured will be just $5.00.
